 The number one goal for the reading program is to help students become proficient, enthusiastic readers who enjoy reading for a variety of purposes. The reading program is designed to help select students strengthen their reading skills using many strategies. Mrs. DeBonville is also a resource for parents/guardians with questions about reading.

 Ms. Gonzalez works with third graders to help students
develop new strategies for reading. Using the Voyager Passport Reading Intervention System, the instructional program targets students¹ specific needs in the areas of word recognition, phonics, fluency, and comprehension. Ms. Gonzalez also works with fourth and fifth graders with a unique program called SRA Number Worlds. The program improves students' needs in the following topics: Number Sense, Operations, Geometry, Algebraic Thinking, Measurement, and Data Analysis. Ultimately, these programs will facilitate in bringing students to their appropriate learning level.
