Gifted

Students in the Gifted Program are taught both the grade level curriculum standards as well as the7 Florida Gifted Frameworks. Mrs. Raker, the gifted resource teacher, works with the classroom teacher to provide engaging and critical thinking activities. Project Based Learning (PBL) activities are one way students are challenged to problem-solve and think “outside of the box” to come up with solutions. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) activities engage students in multiple ways and provide a fun learning opportunity as well. Students are constantly researching, creating products and presenting their ideas in a variety of ways that allows each child to be challenged as well as successful.
