Students are serviced in the Specific Learning Disabled (SLD) program in Language Arts and Math. Several methods are utilized to give the students the skills they need to acquire. First, a specialized curriculum is used which provides a lot of repetition. Second, a lower teacher-student ratio enables the students to get immediate feedback as well as assistance when they need it. Third, alternate methods are utilized to help the students understand concepts that they previously had difficulty with. All the students feel very successful in SLD and quickly learn that they are capable of excelling.
