Fifth graders are given special opportunities to exhibit leadership skills throughout the school. Fifth graders are instrumental in leading KNN, the Koala News Network, our morning news school. In addition, many of our fifth grade students arrive to school each morning at 8:15 so that they can assist our Pre-K students with their morning activities.
Fifth graders, serving as Safety Patrols, work hard to ensure that students follow the proper arrival and dismissal procedures in hallways around the school. Under the guidance of Mrs. Whitekus, fifth grade students work in the School Store and help students with their school supply purchases. Further, fifth graders are also active members of the Chorus, Math Club, Art Club, Science Club, Student Council and the KoalaCast Podcast Club.
